Fly Tying with Chuck Coronato
Our Saturday Fly Tyers series continues with Chuck Coronato. Saturday - November 18th, 2023
Chuck Coronato is a retired math teacher who has been tying flies since the late 1980s. He is the editor of The Gazette, the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild newsletter, and his writing has also appeared in California Fly Fisher, Gordon’s Quill from the Theodore Gordon Flyfishers, and in a UK publication The Fly Dresser: The Journal of the Fly Dresser’s Guild.
He teaches fly fishing at Ramapo College’s Upward Bound Math-Science program and is very active in teaching, tying and fly fishing to disabled veterans for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF). He ties primarily dry flies for his own use, but he’s happy to demonstrate a wide variety of styles to draw other people into the art of fly tying.
CFFCM Saturday Tyers Series is made possible in part by funding from the Sullivan County 2023 Legislative Discretionary Contract Program.
