Our foremost fundraising event of the year - the Emerging Anglers Dinner - will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the beautiful Beaverkill Valley Inn in Lew Beach, NY. This year’s dinner honors John and Patricia Adams, founders of The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). NRDC is a national organization with over 3 million members. In 1972, they helped pass the Clean Water Act (with help from another legendary Catskillian, CFFCM Hall of Famer, Ted Rogowski). Please join us as we thank the Adams’ for their lifetime of support and their championing of environmental protection initiatives nationwide.

NRDC works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.

About Steven Weinberg

Steven Weinberg is a writer, illustrator, and painter in the Catskill Mountains of New York. His work has appeared everywhere from books to beer cans to the Smithsonian.

In July of 2017, Steven exhibited his work in the Wulff Gallery here at the center. His fish and landscape paintings are shown regularly at Clove & Creek in Kingston and Hudson, NY. The fish have been featured in Gray’s Sporting Journal, on the cover of Thomas McGuane’s fly fishing classic THE LONGEST SILENCE, and are on display at Jimmy Kimmel’s fishing resort The South Fork Lodge.

The evening includes hors d'oeuvres & beverages from our sponsors Catskill Provisions Distillery and West Kill Brewing, followed by dinner.

Additional thanks to sponsors High Five Flower Farm and Tailwater Soap Company for their support.
